Final payment must be made by check, money order or electronic transfer. Your Pre-Departure information will be sent to you upon receipt of the Registration Form and deposit. When to book? Some trips and flights book months in advance. For this reason, we suggest making reservations at least 3-4 months before your departure date. Early booking also gives you enough time to mentally and physically prepare for your trip. Arrival/Departure TransfersWe've thought long and hard over this one. We want to offer our travelers this service, but it is often much more expensive than simply arranging a local taxi or bus from the airport. We also understand the peace of mind that an arrival transfer offers, and we want to make your holiday hassle free. This is why we have chosen to offer arrival and departure transfers as an additional service on all our tours. We're more than happy to meet you at the airport when you arrive and help you through the departure at the end. Is This For Me?Adventure Life strives to show South America's ecology, culture, and people in all its glory. It would be easy to shield our travelers from some of Latin America's hard realities, but this would be an injustice to the wonderful people and cultures we visit. It is their kindness, hospitality and assistance that make our journeys so rewarding. This is not conventional travel, and the traveler must understand that services and standards are not the same as at home. The unexpected differences are all part of the discoveries you will make and stories you will tell. AgeOur tours have a wide appeal. If you have a taste for adventure, want to discover the world with newfound friends and don't mind roughing it occasionally, then this is for you. Travelers over 65 need to provide medical certification of fitness for travel. Bookings by accompanied older teenagers are usually accepted. Spending MoneyThe information box beneath each tour description outlines additional costs, but extra money may be needed. It's hard for us to give an exact amount as it depends on the personal needs of the individual traveler. Upon booking, we will provide you with detailed information that will help with budgeting. AccomodationsA common worry for travelers to far off destinations is the standard of accommodations they will encounter. In keeping with our trip philosophy, we stay in small hotels, guesthouses and haciendas situated close to the main sights and town centers. Rich in charisma and charm, we choose accommodations based on character, location, atmosphere, cleanliness, and security. Our preference is mid-range suites with private bathrooms, but this cannot always be guaranteed. The majority of nights are on a twin share basis, although there may be situations where 3 or 4 people may need to share, such as in the jungle or trekking - be prepared to share with group members of the same gender. A limited number of single rooms are available on most tours. Please see details under Single Supplement in the Terms and Conditions. Group SizeOur travel philosophy is based on small groups. As such we will never run a tour with more than 12 travelers, and often groups have fewer than 8 travelers. The only exception to this rule is the Galapagos, where group size is based on the yacht. We want our travelers to gain an intimate understanding of the places we visit and only small groups can provide this. Joining InstructionsOur travelers come from many places in North America, Europe, Australia, and elsewhere. This is why all tour prices are quoted from the joining point. Please contact your travel agent to arrange international flights or contact us directly. Details on the joining hotel will be included in your final departure packet. Pre-Departure InformationBefore
