An amazing two weeks in Cambodia and Vietnam. We ate amazing food and refreshing coconut water, explored ruins that were very well preserved and marveled at the amazing heights of the trees that towered over us.

I hiked part of the trek on our Ecuador Adventure trip and visited the village of Oyacachi too. I enjoyed staying with my dear friends, Betty and Marcelo and catching up with them. We hiked along mountain ranges and lakes, beautiful greenery and hot springs! And of course, I was very sore for my conference the next day!

Brian and Naeyshae's excellent adventure with Quark in Antarctica! We sailed through beautiful scenery and encountered a variety of wildlife! We sat with many types of penguins, played with fur seals on rocks and went on a zodiac ride alongside whales.

First trip to Asia, but not the last. Spent six weeks getting under the skin of the place in 2010. Explored the forests of Borneo, the big city lights of Kuala Lumpur, and wonderful Malay hospitality.

A couple friends and I went to Ecuador for a bike tour! We started our trip with hiking and zip-lining in the the thick of the forest. We then continued with biking in Cotopaxi through the mountain ranges and staying in wonderful lodges with horses and llamas!

I summited Mount Rainier! I snowshoed up the mountain through thick snow and thin snow. But it was also a magical experience! The higher and higher we went, the more beautiful the mountain ranges got. When we got to the top, we were above the clouds!

Phujllay was originally a pre-Hispanic Pukhara fertility festival. Phujllay remembers the Tarabuceños’ triumph over the large army of Spanish conquistadors in the Battle of Jumbate on March 12 1816.

In early 2000 I traveled throughout the Bolivia highlands on several trips, visiting Sucre and Tarabuco, the mines of Potosi and the Salar de Uyuni. These trips inspired our Bolivia tour called Bolivia Backroads. Buen viaje!
