Due to current civil unrest we are not offering tours to Myanmar at this time. You'll struggle to pinpoint the strange but familiar fusion of cultures in Myanmar's largest city - Yangon. Here, colonial architecture reminisces the country's history as a colony of Great Britain, but the Shwedagon Pagoda - covered in gold leaf - and the many gorgeous and ornamental Buddhist monuments and temples, like Sule Pagoda and Chauk-htat-gyi Temple proudly proclaim Myanmar's spiritual identity. This is the starting point for most of our Myanmar/ Burma tours, so let us know when you're ready to start planning your adventure here!
Highlights of Yangon
While many tours simply feature Yangon (formerly known as Rangoon) as a starting point for the itineraries, it is a fascinating city to explore in its own right.
If you're lucky enough to have a city tour included in your itinerary, that's great, but if not be sure to show up a day in advance or stay a bit longer after your itinerary ends to check out sites like:
The Sule Pagoda
Chauk-htat-gyi Temple (with a 213-foot reclining Buddha),
The gold-leafed Shwedagon Pagoda, with a 325-foot-high diamond encrusted spire.
The British colonial architecture.
Then you will either embark your boat for a navigation of the top destinations in Myanmar/ Burma or set out on a land-based tour to see the top highlights, like the UNESCO World Biosphere, Himchari Park, snorkeling in Karimunjawa's dazzling corals, exploring the crystal waters of South Cinque and Andaman Islands, and visiting local communities to learn about their culture and way of life.

The pre-planning and execution of the plan was excellent. They were even able to help get glasses returned when a member or our party left them in a hotel.
