Launching in 2018, Ventus Australis is a new state-of-the-art ship carrying up to 210 passengers in 100 cabins. Its name, Latin for "Southern Winds", is a tribute to the distinctive weather of Tierra del Fuego and the remote tip of South America through which it navigates. Join Ventus Australis on a journey to Patagonia and step ashore at fabled Cape Horn.

Designed to maneuver Patagonia's narrow fjords and channels, Ventus Australis is under construction at Asenav, the internationally acclaimed Chilean shipyard. She will feature the latest regulations regarding safety at sea and protecting the marine environment.

The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.
