Explore the aquarium, exhibits, and amusements at Ocean Park
Visit Tai-O Village where old Southern style fishing residences still stand
Tour Wong Tai Sin Temple, home to Taoism, Buddhism, & Confucianism
Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Start your day by meeting your guide at your centrally located hotel*. Drive to Victoria Peak on Hong Kong Island. Take the popular peak tram to the top for a bird's eye view of Victoria Harbor and Hong Kong. Stand on the Sky Terrace, the highest viewing platform in Hong Kong that offers a 360 degree panoramic view of the city and its surrounding natural beauty.
Next drive about 25 minutes to Repulse Bay located on the south side of Hong Kong Island. Spend some time wandering the golden soft sand of the beach here.
In the afternoon visit The Wong Tai Sin Temple, which claims to ‘make every wish come true upon request’. Home to three religions (Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism) its natural setting and beautifully ornamented buildings make it as much a scenic attraction as an important religious center.
Followed with Nan Lian Garden, a public park also built in the style of the Tang dynasty, cutting through Diamond Hill’s myriad of high-rise apartments.
Your last stop today is the Avenue of the Stars, a 400-metre long stretch of waterside promenade along the northern side of Victoria Harbour, in front of the New World Centre at Tsim Sha Tsui. The avenue, which was built along an existing promenade, opened in April 2004.
*Arrange to be met at the airport for an additional cost.
Day 2: Lantau Island
1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch
Today you head to Lantau Island, the largest island in Hong Kong at the mouth of the Pearl River. Drive over Tsing Ma Bridge, the world's seventh longest suspension bridge (2.2 km) and the longest that handles trains.
First visit Po Lin Monastery here on the island. Founded in 1906 by three monks from the northern Jiangsu province, this monastery housed about 20 nuns up until the 1950s, though now only an abbess remains. The main temple houses three bronze statues of the Buddha and many Buddhist scriptures. Nearby visit the largest Tian Tan Bronze Buddha (or Giant Buddha), one of the five largest statues in China. This giant Buddha, symbolizing the harmonious relationship between man and nature, is the center of Buddhism in Hong Kong and a popular attraction.
Next visit Tai-O Village, a quaint and picturesque old fishing village located along the western coast of the island. This is one of the few places where you can still observe old Southern style fishing residences and businesses still standing along the water. Explore the village and drive back to your hotel for the evening.

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!

The response from Adventure Life to my first inquiry was prompt and promising. I worked with Jamie Broeckel, Trip Planner, via text, email, and phone calls- always extremely responsive and thorough with information and explaining the process to arrange a private tour for me to Malaysia Borneo. Within about week, the booking was complete and I made decisions because of Jamie's great customer service , friendly manner, and overall competence on behalf of the company's travel expertise. Now I have an itinerary, additional Trip Planner Assistants, several links for vital information for traveling to Maylasia, etc. Still many details for Sept. trip, but now the heavy lifting is done and I can enjoy the rest of the anticipation and research!! Thanks Jamie- you are amazing!!!!
